Over the past few months, Fluid Finance has celebrated the launch of our brand new mobile app in various parts of the world. In July, it was time for our official launch event in Kenya. Here’s what happened:
Nairobi
Our first event was held in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. Over 50 people attended the event and we hit our target audience for those in the younger generation, mostly between 20-30 years old. Many of our lovely guests were ambitious traders, young entrepreneurs, and sharp tech minds.
Tina Bielowski, Fluid’s Head of Campaigns/Marketing Operations delivered a powerful message in her presentation at the event. She demonstrated the demand for products like the Fluid Account or the Traditional Bank Account and guided guests through the creation and use of those accounts.
Kitale Town
Our second event was held in Kitale town, which is on the west side of Kenya. Around 100 guests attended the event, which was targeted for users aged 35-50 years old. Many of our guests were invested in various businesses, NGOs, international trade and local money transfer agents.
Both events were extensive – with around 4 hours of presentations, lunch and discussions.
We’re thrilled to say that Fluid was very well received by our audience and user base. We now have over 100 people in our newly established Kenya WhatsApp/Telegram group.
As for other major news, Tina had a meeting with one of the executives from M-PESA Kenya – the leading money transfer provider in East Africa, discussing our potential partnership that would enable us to reach millions of new users. More details on this opportunity to come.
