Last week, the Fluid team attended Istanbul Blockchain Week, three days of product demos, speeches and events. It’s the first event of its kind in Turkey. The recent market turbulence was on everyone’s mind, but Fluid stood out with its user centred approach.
One of our team members reported back about how the team spread Fluid’s message:
“A fantastic week in Istanbul Blockchain Week – everyone we met was blown away by our on/off ramp and our drag and drop directly from a traditional account to a web3 wallet. We were approached by NFT game projects, smaller DEFI projects as well as big players in the space, all very interested in using our on/off ramp and utilising DUSD.
“On Monday evening we hosted a VIP dinner, with our CMO Jessica Walker giving a quick overview of the products Fluid could offer users. This seriously impressed a few big names in the industry to find out more about the products we offer and the products that are being built.
“Jessica contributed to a round table discussion on the future of DeFi in the wake of FTX’s collapse and the breaking news of Genesis trading filing for bankruptcy. The overwhelming consensus was that centralized exchanges are dead and will now be replaced by decentralized exchanges for trading and perpetual futures trading.
“Fluid is uniquely placed to take advantage of this as we allow users to go in and out of crypto without having to go through a CEX directly to and from their bank account. We met with potential Turkish banking partners which would allow us to offer banking services in Turkey as well as venture capitalists and investors from the region and around Europe.
“The Fluid keynote speech was a huge hit – generating a huge flow of traffic to our booth. It led to many who had approached our booth on Monday coming back to us on Wednesday afternoon to tell us we were the stand out hit of the week. There was not a single person who left the week not knowing who we are and what we’re doing.
“Overall it was a huge success – now to begin the process of following up on all the amazing and interesting contacts the team had made during the week.”
